Baxter Planning Systems Signs multi-year Service Parts Planning Outsourcing
Agreement With Agilent Technologies
Outsourced supply chain planning solution increases control while providing
a variable cost model, and improves service for worldwide business units
Austin, Texas (January 28, 2004) – Baxter Planning Systems,
a leading provider of service parts planning services and web-based solutions,
announced today that the company has signed a multi-year, Outsourced Planning
Services contract with Agilent Technologies’ Automated Test Group.
Baxter will provide a comprehensive outsourced solution including inventory
planning, consulting, software, hardware, and IT support. Specifically, the
services Baxter will deliver include inventory procurement, replenishment,
rebalancing, distribution center forecasting and planning, field planning,
repair recommendations, new product introduction and end of life planning.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

responsiveness to their support needs, and ultimately maximized uptime of their
automated test systems," said Mar Oman, Agilent’s senior director of manufacturing

in matching a solution to Agilent's business requirements and their ability to
provide a comprehensive solution in service parts planning software and services."
