Baxter Planning Systems Appoints Bryan Scott COO

Scott to drive increased growth, market presence for only comprehensive provider of supply chain planning services and applications for service parts industry

Austin, TX. - Mar. 12, 2002 - Baxter Planning Systems, a fast growing developer of supply chain planning services and applications that transform service parts organizations into strategic assets, announced today that the company promoted Bryan Scott to chief operating officer.

"Bryan Scott played a major part in Baxter Planning Systems doubling its customer base and growing revenue by a record 100 percent last year," said Greg Baxter, president and chief executive officer of Baxter Planning Systems. "Baxter is on track to continue its extraordinary performance in providing comprehensive services and applications that enable users of Prophet by Baxter(TM) to improve customer responsiveness and increase profitability in the after-market, service, repair, and spare parts industries."

Scott has been vice president of sales and marketing at Baxter since 2000. As chief operating officer, Scott will develop increased market awareness for Baxter and its core product, Prophet by Baxter. With almost twenty years of application software sales experience, including nearly a decade in supply chain management, Scott's leadership enabled him to grow another leading supply chain company more than 900% in just three years.

"Baxter Planning Systems became an industry leader because our cost effective inventory optimization applications enable our clients to beat their competitors with service while making the best decisions to improve their own bottom lines," Scott said. "Because Prophet by Baxter is Web-based, it's easy to use, integrate, and deploy across enterprises of any size, which truly transforms the service side of a business into a strategic and profitable asset."

A native of Houston, Tex., Scott earned a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Houston. He is a leader in the service parts industry, with presentations to both the Interlog and Association for Services Management International (AFSM) trade shows in 2001 and recent articles and a white paper published by AFSM. He and his wife, Cheryl, have lived with their two children in Austin since last year.
