Austin, TEXAS (June 19, 2002) ) - Baxter Planning Systems, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based service parts planning solutions, announces Radiant Systems, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: RADS) selection of Prophet by Baxter for its service parts planning operation. The contract will capitalize on Baxter's suite of products, Prophet by Baxter, including site planning, distribution planning, forecasting, and supply planning. Additionally, Baxter will provide Radiant with consulting services to assist them in transitioning their service parts planning operations in-house.

Radiant Systems, a leader in delivering technology solutions that help companies improve product profitability, employee productivity and customer service, selected Baxter due to the depth and breadth of their service capabilities. Radiant was looking for a solution that would allow them the flexibility to change their approach to service parts planning as their needs and business changed.

In the past, Radiant used several outsourced vendors to service hardware systems around the world. Radiant's analysis concluded that they could provide more effective client service and better satisfy customer service level agreements by implementing a solution that improved visibility into the supply and demand for their service parts. Coupled with Radiant's expansions into global markets, the company is also bringing the service parts planning operations back in-house as a core-competency.
