Baxter Planning Systems Introduces Inventory Asset Tracking
Real-time, web-based reporting on deployed inventory transactions
ANAHEIM, CA - (October 28, 2001) - Baxter Planning Systems, Inc., a
comprehensive service parts management solutions company, is proud to announce
the launch of
Inventory Asset Tracking for Prophet. Attendees to the
31st AFSMI World Conference and Exposition at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim,
California will be the first to preview this exciting new addition to the
Prophet
by Baxter(TM) solution.
Inventory Asset Tracking is a real time, web-based tool that provides
a critical functionality to any service parts planning solution.
Inventory
Asset Tracking records and tracks key asset information by part and serial
numbers, allowing an organization to gain instant visibility to the status
of assets worldwide.
"The information from
Inventory Asset Tracking is used to forecast part
demand and determine repair/return schedules using usage, repair, refurbish and
inspection history," reports Greg Baxter, President of Baxter Planning Systems,
Inc. "The result is less inventory and associated costs, while still maintaining
or elevating customer service levels."
Enterasys Networks, an existing customer of Baxter Planning Systems, currently
uses
Inventory Asset Tracking to support the management of leased product
material within their current logistics network.
Inventory Asset Tracking will be demonstrated at booth #157-159, at
the AFSMI Service conference in Anaheim CA, October 28-30, 2001. For more information,
log on to
